Saadia’s story

Like most other families in Al-Jufeinah IDP Camp, Saadia and her husband Adeeb were displaced from their home in northern Yemen to this camp in Marib for the internally displaced. When they first arrived here with their kids, they barely knew anyone and struggled to find sustenance. 

The family of 6 received food from the World Food Programme once they arrived at the camp, one of the largest in the region. The long-drawn war in Yemen has driven nearly 4.5 million people out of their homes and seek shelter elsewhere.
